How to Clean the LED UV Print Head?

All printers encounter problems from time to time when printing day after day. In order to achieve long-lasting print life and the highest quality your printer can produce, consistency is the main key. It is very important to keep the print head in its best condition. The easiest way is to perform a test print or nozzle check before each print. In this way, you can track the status of the print head and find out if it needs cleaning.

Clogged nozzles can cause many printing problems. Make sure that you always know the current status of the printer's performance through the daily nozzle inspections.

What should I do if the print head is clogged?

The print head has always been the most expensive part of the printer. If they face this problem, it will be a big problem for all LED UV Printer users. Before we consider how to clean a clogged print head, we must know whether the print head is really clogged.

But how to judge whether the print head is clogged has become a crucial issue.

If you find that the printed image is unexpectedly dark or dots in the printed image are missing, you can identify the problem by checking the print head nozzles. You can use the nozzle check utility in the printer software or check the print head nozzles from the printer itself.

Sometimes, even with a perfect nozzle check, the problem cannot be solved. There may be several reasons.

Problem: When performing nozzle check, the ribbon should be completely printed and the lines should not be interrupted, but sometimes there will be some gaps in the nozzle check, even if several software head cleaning and automatic cleaning has been completed.

When your nozzle check is the same as the one shown in the picture, don't proceed directly because the print head is clogged! Follow the correct steps to resolve the nozzle check problem.

Step 1-Ink level check.

Open the ink cartridge and check if there is enough ink in the ink cartridge. If the ink tube port is higher than the ink level, please refill the ink. After that, perform print head cleaning through software or printer driver.

If the problem persists, try the second step.

Step 2-Diagnose the capping situation.

Remove the ink maintenance syringe and suction tube from the waste ink tank tube. By doing this, you can encounter several states of the problem.

First of all, if you can easily take out the ink with some pressure and can feel the vacuum well, the condition of the bottle cap is good. Then, you don't have to practice the following steps, but directly check the nozzle again.

Secondly, if you don't feel the vacuum at all, and there is a sound of air leakage when sucking ink, it means that you are dealing with a top cover failure, which needs to be replaced. the reason? Over time, the sponge on the top of the bottle cap will be gradually melted by the solvent in the ink.

Another reason is that if you cannot drag the syringe and feel a strong vacuum, the top of the bottle cap may become clogged. How to do it? Pour the cleaning solution on the top cover sponge, wait for 10 minutes and suck again until the top cover is in the above-mentioned good condition.

Go ahead and check the nozzle again. If the nozzle check is good, it means that the problem has been resolved. However, if the nozzle check is still not good, continue with the following steps.

Step 3-Diagnose the condition of the damper.

Remove the baffle from the carriage, the color of the nozzle line is bad. If the damper is normal, the ink can be drawn into the syringe.

If you can't draw out the ink, or draw too little ink, but the pressure is high because the damper itself is clogged, then the damper needs to be replaced.

Finally, if the imperfect nozzle check persists, then the problem will come from the printer head!

How to unclog the print head? One method is to manually clean with a cleaning fluid. If manual cleaning still does not solve the problem, use an ultrasonic device to clean the head.

What do you Know About Eco-Solvent Ink?

Eco-solvent ink, or environmentally friendly solvent ink, is a new type of outdoor solvent inkjet with high safety, low volatility, low toxicity and high flash point that has been popular in the outdoor solvent-based digital inkjet market in recent years. Ink, its development has not stalled. At present, some people have put forward higher requirements and developed it into a green solvent outdoor inkjet. It is required to have a boiling point higher than 150°C and a closed cup flash point higher than 65°C. As a   Uv Ink Manufacturer , I would like to share with you. ESL Eco Solvent Ink Advantage Compared with solvent-based inks, the biggest advantage of eco-solvent inks is environmental friendliness, which is mainly reflected in the reduction of volatile matter VOC and the elimination of many toxic organic solvents, which are no longer needed in the production workshop of eco-solvent inkjet printers. Ventilation device. Eco-solvent ink not only maintains the advantages of high-pre...

How do you know which ink to use for your printer?

If you are using a new printer for the first time, you may not be familiar with the type of cartridges your printer uses. Each printer uses a specific printer cartridge family for printing. The printer cartridge family is identified by the printer brand name and cartridge number. 1. The easiest way to determine which cartridges are appropriate for your printer is to turn on the printer and see which cartridges are currently in the machine. 2. If there are no cartridges inside the printer, you can search for the printer model on the manufacturer's website. The manufacturer's page for your printer should contain a list of compatible cartridges. 3. You can also refer to the printer user guide that came with your machine to identify the cartridge series.    Recognizing individual Cartridges for Epson As you know, each type use individual cartridges for Epson printers , which means that each cartridge contains a specific color of ink. This is different from HP's thre...

Solvent Dye Sublimation Ink

Solvent dye sublimation inks are basically pigments suspended in an oil base, but of course there are other stabilizers and surfactants in the mix. Solvent inks may contain a chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer at 2-6%, a polymeric amide at 0-4%, a ethyl acetate at 0-4%, 2-methoxy-1-mthylethyl at 0-1.25%, N-butyl acetate at 0-2.5%, and Butan-2-OL at 0-0.5%. There will also be a distillate at 0-3%, and at least one subliminal disperse dye at a rate of 0.25% to 9%, which must be insoluble in either an included ether or acetate. Propylene glycol must be included in the range of 0% to 2%, and an additional acetate will make up 78% to 95% of the solution. This entire solvent based dye sublimation ink solution must, when mixed properly, be able to flow through the head of an ink jet printer in order to function properly.   Aqueous Dye Sublimation Ink In aqueous dye sublimation ink, water is the solvent in which the pigments and other ingredients are suspended, and the water will typically m...
